Sunday school is offered at 10 am each Sunday morning in the Christian Education building. We have a variety of different classes that meet for various lengths of time and cover a wide range of faith formation and Bible Study.
Outreach & Service
At FCC we believe that the Church is to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world today. We serve in many ways: building ramps for the disabled, mission trips of service and learning, preparing Christmas baskets for the hungry, an Angel Tree for Christmas gifts for low income children, and serving meals at the "Love Kitchen," a free meal offered to the community.
We are a partnering congregation with the Rockwood Ministerial Association, which is an ecumenical Ministry in our community that offers a food bank, bill help, & other programs that serve those in need. www.rockwoodministerial.org
We also plan to be a host congregation for a new ministry starting in Roane County for homeless families, Family Promise. Family Promise is a ministry to help homeless families with children. You can find out more at: www.familypromise.org.
We also seek to make good use of our building space by offering space for several nonprofits and support groups to meet in our building. They are: Narcotics Anonymous and Nar-Anon (family support group) on Wednesday at 7:30pm. As well as a Cub Scout,Boy Scout, & Girl Scout Troops.
Women & Men's Ministry
Each month we offer opportunities for faith formation and fellowship opportunities through the Christian Women's Fellowship Circles for women & the Carpenter's Group for men.
On Sunday mornings you are likely to hear a range of style in music from Bluegrass, Gospel, Contemporary, and Classical Music. The Adult Choir leads us in music each Sunday under the leadership of our Choir Director, Amanda Holly. Tori Sellers leads worship by playing our piano and organ. The choir meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30am in the sanctuary. Our handbell choir meets at 7:30 pm on Wednesdays evenings in the sanctuary.
Victorian Square Worship
On the first Sunday of the month at 2pm we hold a worship service at the Victorian Square assisted living community. It is a chance to provide a worship opportunity for senior men and women who may not have an opportunity to leave their residence to make it to a worship service on Sunday mornings. www.victoriansquare.net
Muscle Movers Exercise Group
On Tuesdays & Thursdays in our fellowship hall a group of women meet for exercise at 10am. Everyone is always welcome!
Narcotics Anonymous & Nar-Anon
We want to offer safe space to those struggling with the powers of addiction. Narcotics Anonymous is a 12-step model for those struggling with drug addiction. Nar-Anon is for folks who love someone struggling with drug addiction. Both groups meet on the 1st & 2nd Monday of the Month at 7:45pm in the Education Wing. The meetings are open. All are welcome!
