MinistriesSunday School Sunday school is offered at 10 am each Sunday morning in the Christian Education building. We currently have an elementary aged kids class and are planning on adding more classes soon!
At FCC we believe that the Church is to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world today. We serve in many ways: building ramps for the disabled, mission trips of service and learning, preparing Christmas baskets for the hungry, an Angel Tree for Christmas gifts for low-income children, and serving meals at the "Love Kitchen," a free meal offered to the community. We are a partnering congregation with the Rockwood Ministerial Association, which is an ecumenical ministry in our community that offers a food bank, bill help, & other programs that serve those in need. www.rockwoodministerial.org We are also a hosting congregation for a ministry in Roane County for families experiencing homelessness. Family Promise is a ministry to help homeless families with children. You can find out more at: www.familypromise.org. We also seek to make good use of our building space by offering space for several nonprofits and support groups to meet in our building. Cub Scout, Boy Scout, & Girl Scout Troops meet at FCC throughout the week. Music Ministry On Sunday mornings, you are likely to hear a range of styles in music from Bluegrass, Gospel, Contemporary, and Classical Music. Our Music Director, Amanda Miranda leads small groups who sing choir style music, and works with individuals who are willing to provide special music for the worship service. We also have two volunteers who play the organ, we like to have them play at least once a month! Our handbell ringers chime the hour each Sunday and ring special music in worship for us as well. Exercise Groups Muscle Movers- On Mondays & Thursdays in our fellowship hall, a group meets for exercise at 10 am. Everyone is always welcome! Yoga- On Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 a group meets for stretching and weight training exercises.
